The Redskins are in a good position right now. Before this team experiences the thrill of victory it will suffer the agony of defeat. It has played good quarters or halfs but has not done enough for the entire game. On the bye week after Chicago will be the time to really look at the playcalling for the kind of players and play some no-names to see if these players can execute better than the "stars" on this team. I wish we could have a better view of the WR's because Brunell is waiting and waiting to throw the ball and there seems to be no one open at all. Everybody just breath. We have lost five games in a row under Gibbs and Schottemheimer so it's not the end of the world. In both situations, the end was better than the beginning.

He's not losing for us because the no run offense of Portis can't even open the passing game up. We know the running game opens the passing game. Well we don't have a running game right now. That was a spectacular throw to Cooley by Brunell and everyone knows it. The problem has been the offensive line. Brunell was uncomfortable in the pocket after Betts let Reed through. No pass protection, no passing yardage.

We are everything I thought the Giants would be, and the Giants are everything that I thought we would be.

well its not going to get worse, we have a lot we can build on, and its not like we played bad on both sides of the ball. i think we should be able to correct these problems.
hey crazy canuck, whatd the penalty for cutting brunell next year?

uhh... if the passing game were open, portis would be running wild, if they have 3 dbs in coverage, you pass... he did and missed or had to throw it away, you don't need to rush portis for that...

and one good pass doesn't counter a game full of crappy ones...

Amen that BigC. I dont care if we play a Pee Wee Football team next week, I just want to win. That would be one hell of a football game though. Their defense vs our Offense!? BRING IT ON
