Re: NFL Network booth horrible again tonight

Was there a game on last night. I watched about 5 minutes of the pre-game show with Rich Eisen, Marshall Faulk, Deion Sanders and Steve Mariucci. The pre-game crew is better than the game time commentators Bryant Gumbel and Chris Collinsworth. Marshall Faulk is very good and is a rising star. Deion is animated but he does make some valid points. Mariucci knows what he is talking about. He comes across very well on air. Now Gumbel and Collinsworth, to sum it up in one word, SUCK!!!

Re: NFL Network booth horrible again tonight

I think that the NFL Network, to the extent that such a thing is logistically feasible, should pipe in the radio broadcast of the away team for the first half and the home team for the second. Either that or just show the game sans announcers. NBC broadcast a Jets game without announcers in 1980 I think it was. It works for me. I'm all about the football, see.

I don't like gumbel too much, but collinsworth isn't all that great either. He's been a wise ass to everyone he works with. in his mind he's always right and i've seen him be smart with some greats like jerome and bob costas. who did collinsworth even play for??
The NFL network wants to be on cable and is if you have didital cable (something like that). The problem is that cable is not willing to pay what the NFL wants and the NFL is not willing to drop their price.
