Gibbs is our coach and back in January nobody was complaining and to lose that perspective after just 5 games is hilarious.

I hate to quote Bush but we have to stay the course. This isn't a one year deal.

Matty quoting Bush? Something must be wrong here......LOL. Just playing Matty...

I agree with everything you said. January Gibbs comes in and he's God. Now come October, we have losing record and everyone is questioning Gibbs.

Daseal, most of those QB changes you named were due to injury or the starter was just downright horrible and the obvious cause for their offense struggling.

I'm not saying Brunell is playing well right now because he isn't, but is he the cause of all our problems offensively?

I'm just trying to read into what Gibbs is thinking, I don't think he's being stubborn, if Brunell was the only guy struggling he could justify making the switch, but at the same time I think it's a matter of Ramsey not doing much to show he's ready to take over. I don't understand how everyone is overlooking how bad he looked all preseason.

Alot more than the QB needs fixing right now. However, if Brunell plays terrible again in Chicago then I'll start to get on the start Ramsey bandwagon.

I'm one who thinks a QB change is needed. No, Brunell isn't the only one struggling right now on offense, but he is the team leader, literally and figuratively. It's obvious that he just isn't getting the job done at all.

Something dramatic needs to be done at this point to get the team back on the winning track and I think changing QBs is the only thing dramatic enough to get the team's attention.

I can't help but believe that some of the offensive guys (particularly Gardner, Coles and Portis) are thinking the same thing, but would never say so publicly. They've got to be questioning Brunell's ability and it's the kiss of death when players begin to question one of their teammates, particularly if it's the QB.

I will be the first to admit that I still have major questions about Ramsey, but as Riggo said, he can't be any worse than what we're seeing from Brunell.

Before the season is a complete wash-out, he needs to be given a chance to help turn things around. Sometimes a dramatic change like this is exactly what a team needs.

Otherwise, I see a continued free-fall from the offense, which only serves to further demoralize the excellent defensive effort.

I don't know how anyone can stand by Brunell right now, I saw on Comcast they were talking to Bugel and you could tell that he thought it was on Mark, but of course denyed it. His face cringed when he heard the question. Then they showed footage of some of the plays last week, one Chris Cooley just looked at Brunell like he was crazy after a horrible inaccurate pass that if Ramsey had thrown probably would have been a first down.

175 yards of total offense means we need to change something. Their defense is good, but far from great.
Most, if not all of those QB switches were due to injury to the starter. Everyone including Bugel knows that Brunell had a bad game last week, but he is correct in saying it's not all him. I think they should make the change and start Ramsey to try to provide a spark, but as Matty has said before, my name doesn't start with "coach". Gibbs chose Brunell as his man and is sticking with him, and I respect that. That said, they better start lighting it up very soon!!!

"Now how many people out there think this team would be 1-4 if Parcells were the coach?"

Probably 0 -5 if Parcells was head coach. Funny how a couple of years makes people forget about ol' Shotty that started off 0 - 5, and ended up 8 - 8. I remember that year and our offense was just as bad if not worse those first 5 games; not to mention that at least a few of those games we were completely blown out! At least this time, at 1- 4, we lost those games, but they were close and we could have easily won those games if not for one or two plays or one or two bad calls. Gibbs is going to have this team playing better, but we all have to be paitent.
