A couple people have mentioned the Lions game & the cover 2. I would expect a lot of cover 2 w/GW trying to mix things up w/the LB's. I don't think we'll see much blitzing unless we can't get any pressure w/the front 4, in which case GW will go cover 3 & bring some heat. Regardless of Seattle's inconsistency, if we can't get to Hassellback he will find those wr's. I see this as a very tough matchup. |

Seattle is already one dimensional by choice. If we can contain their passing game we'll have an excellent shote at winning this game. Our defense is playing lights out right now so I like our chances.

when looking back at that game thats the one play that keeps coming to my mind too. that deal would have then and we need to get after them from the first quarter right on thru the 4th quarter.. bring the intensity and emotion that you have displayed the past 4 weeks and let the rest take care of itself then we might be looking at round two of the playoffs.

Re: How do we play Seattle on D?
If we can do what we did in 2005 which was hold them to 20 points, I think this time around our offense will be good enough to win the game. Our offense was terrible at that point of 2005. Brunell was not healthy. We had Taylor Jacobs and Jimmy Farris as our #2 and #3 receivers. Portis was banged up. Randy Thomas had broken his ankle and his replacements were not cutting it. (Remember the fiasco of putting Corey Raymer in at one point?) I think the Seahawks will be one dimensional because this time around they will be behind on the scoreboard. Collins is bona fide. Portis is at the peak of his powers. Moss is back at full speed. Cooley is as Cooley does. Randle El and Caldwell/McCardell are good for 2 to 3 big catches each. Yoder can catch the ball in a pinch and surprise their defense. Ditto Thrash. Betts is a handful. And I expect to see gadget plays both on offense and special teams. If the defense can play physical and avoid the big plays, that should be enough. They don't have to shut out the opponent or score points themselves this time around.

Re: How do we play Seattle on D?
Andre Carter on Walter Jones seems like a great battle. AC slipping by him without going too far up the field will be huge for us. Or do you let bigger Daniels play that side and let AC run wild on the other side?

If you move Carter over to the LDE, he would face someone named Sean Locklear and would be rushing from Hasselback's blind side. Daniels on the right would be better against Jones in the running game (I think) and since Jones is unlikely to give up sacks anyways, you don't lose anything in the pass rush. On 3rd down you continue to move Daniels inside and bring in Chris Wilson to rush against Jones. I think it's a good idea.

Absolutely, Shaun Alexander is washed up. You guys are the 2nd coming of the 1991 Redskins. Matt Hasselback? He's a CFL QB. I've never heard of the guys the Hawks have on defense. Trufant, Tatupu, Kerney....OVERATED! The Hogs should plow through them. You guys better get your tickets ready for Lambeau...they sell out quick!
