Re: Campbell or Romo?

Romo still throws too many INTs for my taste. And I don't like the way he loses his cool when things aren't going his way.

About the INT's...that's somewhat true. He does have a lot of int's, but he had 17 more tds than INT's. SOmetimes when you take chances, you get burnt. Campbell wasn't even unleashed and had 11 ints in 13 games. By the numbers, it's a lower percentage, but not sure he would have had that better precentage if Saunders gave him full control of the offense. Plus Campbell only had 1 more td than int. I'm not saying I'd go for Romo, I wouldn't. I think Campbell has more talent overall, I'm just saying we would all not care about the INT's if Campbell had 36 tds.
I do agree with you about his cool, and that is something Campbell has over him by far. Campbell always stays cool. I just hope campbell can develope a killer instinct and actually win us a game when we are behind.

Re: Campbell or Romo?

Jerry Jones may regret the day he gave that kind of money to a guy who has yet to prove he can win in the post season. Seems like ol' Jerry got swept up in the hype surrounding Romo in the first half of this season and gave him the keys to the kingdom before he earned them over the long haul. NFL history has seen tons of QB's who either were one hit wonders or put up nice stats in the regular season but couldn't get it done in the playoffs. Romo is now being paid as an elite QB. If Romo is a flash in the pan it could get really bad in Dallas in a hurry...we can hope.

The jury is still out on Campbell being able to win or be effective in the post season too but Snyder wont have to make that ultimate decision on his future with the skins for a few more years.

Re: Campbell or Romo?

I love JC, but I haven't ssen any poise or cool headedness yet. He has thrown some costly picks. We were winning at the end because TC didn't throw picks (except in Seattle, of course). Slight edge to Romo here, but Campbell has more upside...

The guy no doubtly is nice. However I am not sold on his skills. He is a mobile, athletic, and put up incredible numbers this season. Romo in my opinion is a part of a great offense all across the board. A great tight end, a very good offense of line, and of course T.O. And everyone witnessed the complete falling out of Romo and the Cowgirls. Under pressure i dont think he comes through at all. Well I am a big JC fan, and my roommmate and me are huge Redskin fans. I popped the question in the next 3 or 4 season who would you want as a starting quarterback. Romo or JC. He said Romo and i said of course Jason. I think Jason has the heart of a true football player. He cried over a loss, he studies his ass off, and works hard. He is learning one of the most difficult playbooks and I think is going to be a great player *knock on wood*. However Romo was undrafted why wouldn't anyone see this talent before. He does put up great numbers but in the next few years I think he will be a joke to the cowboys in the future. Well I would love your guys opinion. I stood up for Campbell and called my buddy a Cowboy haha jokingly of course. Thanks guys , Go Skins

Why even create a thread like this? Do you really expect a good quality answer?

Re: Campbell or Romo?

Are you kidding me? It pains me to admit this but...... I enjoy watching Romo play. He is a charismatic and talented football player. I thought he was going to be a bust and be like any other backup QB who is highly touted as the next great thing by the fans. See Babe Laufenberg, Gus Frerrotte, Jay Schroeder, etc., etc.

Romo. Hand down!

Romo has been playing very well but you can count on him to throw an in interception in just about every game. Until he corrects this problem he will always be the reason that they can't take it to the next level. You are right though, as of now he is better than Campbell... but...let's see if we get Campbell better help at the receiver position this coming offseason, if so, I think that Campbell closes the gap.

campbell hasn't shown enough yet to compare them yet. romo is better right now, but we haven't seen where campbell's peak is yet.
