At least Snyder didn't go and looking around for high-priced coaches..

And everyone will be back on the wagon again. I'm not going to be critical until the situation warrants being critized from lack of productivity and success. Everyone deserves an opportunity to prove themselves. Joe Gibbs didn't become a HOF coach overnight, and he would not have met with the success he did had not Mr. Cooke maintained faith in him.

I was thinking...

Is it possible that one of the reasons they are waiting until after the SuperBowl is that they have a HC or Coordinator on another team (besides the Pats/Giants) lined up for the position, who might become available if said other team hires someone from the two superbowl teams?

Greg Blache was not all that highly regarded in Chicago; there were few if any tears shed when he left town. Note how the Bears' defense improved as soon as Ron Rivera took over and how the Bears defense got them to a Super Bowl - - and then they fired Rivera and the team stunk again...

I'm about to say something nice about Danny Boy so be sure you are sitting down:

He is not even close to the worst owner in the NFL. Not by a mile. I give you three examples of owners who are far worse:

Bill Bidwell - - Arizona
John York - - SF
Al Davis - - -Oakland

This is what I thinkis going to happen...

Snyder will hire McDaniels as head coach...He'll be the primary play caller, while Zorn will be here to groom Jason Campbell...That's just what I think...

If that did happen, I'd be pretty happy.

Id be excited if that happened. McDaniels is a young guy, and his team is obviously successful with him calling the plays the last three years. I doubt he is the primary reason for their success, but it would be nice to bring in a young guy who might stick around for awhile. If he takes some time to adjust to the responsibilities of HC, however, how long will Snyder give him to develop. It might be worthless.

Edit: By that same token, there are other young options out there like Schwartz and Spagnoulo. Spagnuolo is a bit under experienced though. I like Schwartz alot as a HC candidate, but I could see where having a fairly successful former DC in Blanche, and an inexperienced OC in Zorn might make an offensive minded HC a bit more appealing.

What is the deal with people wanting us to go after a young assistant who could get away with doing his job if his head was buried in a bucket of sand. McDaniels didn't create that offense and he certainly doesn't run it. He has proven nothing.

Living actually in Chicago when this was all going down, I'm going to have to overrule you here. Blache was the one coach on the staff that everyone around here thought deserved his position.

That's how the NFL works. If you call plays for a record setting offense then you're going to get some attention. But he's done a good job since Weiss left. Is he head coach material at 31 or 32? Hell no.

McDaniels has done an outstanding job in NE, even though I don't think he has any interest coming to DC. From all interviews that I've heard the young man speak he is staying put.....although I've heard that before and MONEY TALKS and we all know if thats the guy Dan wants he will spend WHATEVER it takes.

I could care less about his age just his qualifications.

I hope they get rid of the WR coach. I have not seen the WR run any route that would shake a defender or get space from the defender. Hopefully they hire someone who knows what they are doing there.

I'm not blaming the WR issues on Stan Hixon. We have had way to many injuries at the WR position to blame the coach. Lets not forget our #1 Moss #2 El were banged up most of the year, #3 Lloyd (COUGH) never showed up! Thats why they had to bring in Keenan, Reche & start using Thrash (who also ended up injured)

When the WR's were healthy they did a fine job of getting seperation and making really good catches down the stretch. I would like to see what this Mix kid brings to the table and see more Reche, and I'm certainly not apposed to bring in help if need be at the WR position.

But Stan Hixon is not the problem, I hope they retain him.
