Is Next Season Going to be Another Off-year?
If our pattern continues, we are on course for another under .500 year. I think it will happen because, a pattern is one thing, but a coaching change, a new offensive style, our first full season without ST, and a developing qb, seem to help it add up. Thoughts?

30-0. We beat all of our opponents on Monday-Saturday, and then twice on Sunday.

Much too early to know, there will be a period of adjustment but we won't know until we get there.

Let's get a prediction of our record going in this thread: 7-9 for me.

Let's wait until after we have a head coach, and free agency and the draft are over.

Re: Is Next Season Going to be Another Off-year
yeah, i'd think 6-10 to 8-8 is probably a reasonable pick right now.
we might get a stud in the draft and a couple grade A FAs that could help fix the learning curve on offense, and the stability (relative) on D should help carry us. though we're without rogers and taylor this year :/ so, yeah, that sucks. |

Re: Is Next Season Going to be Another Off-year
Read my sig! We couldn't get off of the groung offensively in 4 years. Just when the offense is starting to gell, we go and change everything again. There have been very few teams to suceed after a changeover like that. The most recent was the New Orleans Saints. I do not predict a huge hurricane hitting the DMV next season, so we are screwed.
This by no means incours a lake of obedience to my team. Never question my FANHOOD! |

Re: Is Next Season Going to be Another Off-year
We can play competitively next season as long as...
1) The o-line/d-line can maintain a decent degree of health. 2) Campbell adapts well to whatever scheme Zorn/HC has in store for him. 3) Portis plays 12 - 13 games relatively healthy. 4) Landry, Fletcher and Carter play about the same (or better). 5) Moss doesn't drop/fumble half as many balls. Oh yeah, prediction: 0-0 The NFL realizes how unstoppable we'll be and cancels our games for the safety of the opposing teams health. They do allow us to play a modified Pro Bowl consisting of the best from both the NFC and AFC, which we win 77-0.
