Re: Hail To The Finalists (Skins to HOF)

Well the big day is finally here, the big day being the hall of induction and the possibility of redskins going in, is anyone wearing their colors today? I had trouble deciding which jersey to wear an authentic 70th #28 or a #81 I got off ebay. I guess I have to roll with the #81 in support of him getting into the HOF. Anyone else sporting their colors today?

I heard an interview on John's show with another sports reporter, I think he wrote for the New York Daily News and his name was "Something" Glover? Anyway, he said that he actually went to the same high school as Monk and although he doesn't have a vote he thinks Art should have been in long ago and the unfortunately there still just isn't "a groundswell of support" amongst the voters to get Monk into the Hall this year...looks like another year of disappointment...hopefully now that Green is going in he'll start lobbying for Monk the way Aikman did for Micheal "Crackhead" Irvin.

Re: Hail To The Finalists (Skins to HOF)

Darrell Green was the last great player from Gibbs 1.0 left when I became a serious fan. During the late years of his career he was still a phenom, still the fastest man in the NFL, and he was by far my favorite player. I was sad to see him retire, but it is awesome that he got into the HOF right away. This is the first player I have watched closely and loved that has gone to the HOF, it is a bright spot in my all too mediocre fandome. Thank You and Hail to Darrell Green!!!

He was the first real shut down corner in the league. Basically redefining the position. I'm glad to see the recognition of that with a first ballot. With four of the six being defensive players, I wonder if the HOF voters are starting recognize some long over looked areas of the HOF
