The reason GW DIDNT want the job

Don't get me wrong, he wanted to job very badly just not under the circumstances presented. This is the same reason Cowher, Carrol, Spanolo, and Jim Mora all didn't want to touch this job with a 10 foot pole. Would you want to accept a job where you have nearly zero control and yet are held accountable for everything?

The result: we have a previous QB coach with no head coaching experience in any capacity on his resume, who was going to be passed over for the OC position in seattle when Mora takes over next year anyways. (From JLC's blog).

It's great that everyone is excited about this hire (because it isn't fassel) and I hope it works out; but we have to be honest that we resorted to option number 10 on our wish list thanks to our front office structure and hierarchy.
