You would think that Landry would be well suited to play free safety. Laron certainly seemed to make more plays after he was moved to free safety in the last quarter of the season. He wasn't a turnover machine, but he broke up an awful lot of passes and was able to build up speed to put big hits on opposing wideouts.

But, I swear that I've read that the coaches want Landry to move back to strong safety, in which case we may very well be in the market for a free safety. I like Doughty, but probably he's not fast enough to play FS and I wouldn't be particularly surprised to see him relegated to a reserve role.

Landry is going to be a Pro Bowl free safety very soon. I just remember him ball hawking against Seattle. He was just all over the place. I would just leave the safetly positions alone and gamble on Reed. We simply have more pressing needs.
