Deion was not a "shut down corner" when he came here, Champ was. For that reason Deon got picked on a little bit. Compared to other cb's, he was still well above avg. & if not for his name & flashy ways + salary, everyone would say he's alright. He even played all 16 games, something he hadn't done much of elsewhere. Seems to me people criticize Deion being here because they had great expectations of him. He was past his prime (time) but still played well on a good D in 2000. Remember that team beat all the best teams in the nfl, but lost to the sorry ones mainly because of turnovers. |

Re: Who was the worst acquisition of the last 10 years?
Loyd got my vote & I don't see how Arch was worse than him. We had to give up more for Loyd & in the end someone thought well enough of Arch to trade a 6th round pick & cash for him.
Didn't hear about any trade offers for Loyd. |

I can't remember...Did Arch cost us picks? If not then it has to be Lloyd - 2 picks + his dead cap hit next year and never even got a TD!!
Dana Stubblehead was pretty bad, though. I remember when he showed up for training camp he was so fat I didn't even recognize him. Def Player of the Year to tub of Lard!

We can only pick one?
In terms of money and draft picks, it would have to be Lloyd. So many to choose from though... |
