NFL | NFL Films lays off nearly 10 percent of employees

The Associated Press reports nearly 10 percent of the workers have been laid off of NFL Films, which has been documenting the league for over 40 years. The workers were told last week of the layoffs, according to The Philadelphia Daily News. The company has run into a number of difficulties recently, including the HBO network deciding not to renew "Inside the NFL" for next season.

His base salary will be $2 million, giving him a $17 million payout in 2008. Fitzgerald has a $5 million option bonus in 2009. Over the four years of the contract, Fitzgerald will receive $30 million in guarantees.
