Re: Radio in Helmet for Defenses Approved
I agree, however many teams are thinking Safety as well.

Re: Radio in Helmet for Defenses Approved
I dont understand why every player cant have this in his helmet. It might speed up the game if the huddle could be shortened or done away with.

Re: Radio in Helmet for Defenses Approved
Noticed the Patriots voted for it...guess they have a tech guy ready to
intercept radio transmissions.

Re: Radio in Helmet for Defenses Approved
I keep getting this cartoon image of Belicheat in his laboratory working on devices
to steal secrets and giving out a sinister laugh. |

I don't know. I can picture the working on devices part, but the sinister laugh doesn't seem possible. Personally I picture a dry "that's greattttttt" in the tone of the boss from Office Space.

Bill to Moss: "Randy, that is another example of when the ball is in the air and you just went up to get it; I think if you have an opportuninty to go up and get it, then you should go up and get it". I cannot believe he actually felt that he had to say that to Randy Moss. DUH, Brilliant coaching job there Bill! :cheeky-sm |

Re: Radio in Helmet for Defenses Approved
I dont really like any radios on either side of the ball. do away with offense and defense radios, its like a human size chess match now. let the players play.. next things is the WRs and RBs can wear jetpacks but no one else can.

Re: Radio in Helmet for Defenses Approved
This is what it comes down to. Its that classic cliche' that one idiot has to screw it up for everyone. This is why we have speed limits, metal detectors, and that stupid barrier on skyscrapers that block the view. I feel sorry for the conservative football fan. This just isnt the age anymore for purists. Personally, I think this will add a whole new level to defensive play. Coaches dont have time to signal more than one play to defensive captains. There will be Peyton Manning-type MLB's who get three plays in five seconds and can audible in and out with a better feel for what the coaches on the sideline see. This will cause the evolution for smarter, more elusive defensive players. I am all for it!!
