Re: Anthony Mix Must Be Our Man
They're gonna give him the opportunity based on what J.C. said about him. He and Campbell must have a pretty good feel for one another or else he wouldn't be here. He's young, cheap, and may possibly offer something to this team. We definitely need a third, big wide receiver. With that said, let's just wait and see what happens and hopefully he won't be another Jacobs, Lloyd, etc...and make the plays in practice he can't make on the field.

Re: Anthony Mix Must Be Our Man
I think Mix will have a great year and I think that he can be the WR that Zorn needs and is looking for. Just his play on special teams last year made him a eye opener.

Re: Anthony Mix Must Be Our Man
He was in on a lot of tackles on kickoffs, seemed like he was always where the returner was.

Re: Anthony Mix Must Be Our Man
I think that the lastest news from the Washinton Post article posted earlier today affirms that the skins will probably not address WR in the early rounds (1,2,3) on draft day. I hope that Mix lives up to the hype. If he doesn't the team is going to take even more scrutiny for not addressing it in FA or early in the Draft this offseason. This does not change my mind that we should not take a WR in the first round.

"Washington has needs along the offensive and defensive lines, at wide receiver, cornerback and safety." As you mentioned, they note OLB as a need, but also QB. Basically, I don't think this is a draft like the skins have had in the past where everybody had a good idea of what position (s) and players they would take early. Of course having more picks gives them more flexibility but there are several areas of "need" but none stands out head & shoulders above the rest. The only positions I would rule out early in the draft are RB,K,P,TE, & maybe QB, though I could see someone like Booty in the 3rd if he's there. I would put OLB after that. I know the article mentions the possibility of drafting one, but I see that as a late day 2 pick. |
