There's a lot of talk that Iffy can't cover, honestly I didn't watch that all that much, but I know he has speed, which really helps make up for any mistakes.

Gentlemen, how quickly we forget.
Bowen and Ohalete sucked out loud. Ohalete might have been just slightly better than Bowen, who was a complete disaster and major disappointment. We would lose NOTHING if they left the team. When, aside from the Canidate hit in training camp, did Bowen ever establish to anyone who watches the Redskins that he's a "big hitter" ?? Not once during the season did Bowen come up with a big hit. I saw him get turned around, burned, and get caught way out of position for the tackle. Let's say it like it is, shall we? Both safety positions were miserable last year. |

As mediocre as our safety play has been, I'd like to see what they can do with Williams running the show.
Edwards was clearly in over his head last year. |

The ENTIRE coaching staff was way over it's head last year. That will NOT be an issue this season! |

I'm with Matty on this one. I get the feeling a lot of our D woes last year can be attributed to bad scheming or playcalling. If we draft Taylor, and move Ohalete across, I don't have a problem with Bowen as a backup.

isn't ohalete a free agent right now? so who's to say he'll even be back with the team? plus like I said before Bowen isn't gonna be a back up w/the salary he has and because we gave up a 4th rounder for him didn't we? plus between the two, in most of the games, it seemed to me that bowen made more plays than ohalete and other than a couple plays like the keyshawn touchdown, Bowens had a decent nose for the ball.

Uhm, correct me if I'm wrong but one thing about Gibbs is that he's a fans coach and he doesn't care about how much someone's making, they want the best available player playing.
Ok, two things about coach gibbs! |

Why not let Iffy and Bowen duke it out for the starting SS spot if we choose Taylor?

Kenechi anyone?
I agree that the safety situation was not optimal last year, but I think we are all forgetting what the major problem with our defense was last year: NO PENETRATION and NO D-LINE. Knowing this, it seems strange that the only improvements Snyder made in this department were Phillip Daniels, who is on the tail end of his career, and Cornelius Griffen, who is overrated. I think the skins can afford to let the safety situation stay the same if necessary, seeing that Iffy and Bowen are both relatively young, and coachable. I also don't think that we should use our draft pick on Taylor, but instead on Kenechi Udezi, the standout DE from USC. He regarded as an immediate impact player, and will help solve the pressure problem on the D-Line.
But that's just me. |

[QUOTE=AnonEmouse]I think your question is answered by the level of interest otehr teams have shown in him - nada to my knowledge.
Paul Zimmerman had some good things to say about this guy early last season. I think he could be very good in Williams' system. regards. H2TR |

Ohalete is a restricted free agent. I like him but the offer sheets are hardly breaking his door down.
