I would prefer to have all games start at 1 p.m. on Sunday. That way, I don't have to wait hours on end -- or in that case, a full day and a half(!) -- to see MY team play. Besides, what's the big deal whether we're on national TV or not? I'd rather us fly under the radar and sneak up on everybody.

Re: 2008 Redskins Schedule

SS -- How do your analysts project the redskins? I gotta say, 13-3 seems unreal. When was the last time we went 13-3? We have a brand new and unproven coach, the defense, our strong point, is under new leadership. I don't see this season turning out horribly well, but I see us be able to get progressive better.

13-3? Someone has been drinking a bit too much of that Kool-Aid. I'm just looking for any sign of Zorn's fingerprints being the right fit for this job and with that comes growing pains. Buckle up, it's going to be a bumpy ride.

If I remember right, they see the Redskins as a talented team that should be about 10-6 and a wildcard team unless Zorn is in way over his head. They like Campbell a lot and think that Moss can have a big comeback year.

Re: 2008 Redskins Schedule

I'm one of those homers that feel like we'll win every game. This is why never do well in pick 'em contest. My heart wins over my head whenever
comes to Skins games. Guess over the years have overdosed on kool aid.

That sounds realistically optimistic. I think this team is between 7-11 wins. I wouldn't be surprised if we take a step backward or forward this year.

Bram's blog that was posted recently in a thread makes sense to me. He questions whether the D will be the same w/a new coach. It's a legitimate question, just cause Blache has been there doesn't mean as the head guy he will get the most out of what has been an overachieving unit under GW IMO.

Of course the O has many questions at this point & w/a new head coach, it's tough to make an accurate prediction on this team.

Back to the schedule, overall I think it weighs in our favor. You can't say in April whether it's tough or not based on the teams, cause they'll all change a lot during the season. Yeah we have road swing to finish the year, but our crucial div. games late in the year are at home & we have the bye at a good time. Can't wait for the draft!

Re: 2008 Redskins Schedule

Schedual looks great! I am very excited. This is how my season will go, however:

Last year I only saw a few games, and those were the MNF, SNF, Playoffs, and when we played the Cowboys. I am too cheap for ESPN insider and Season Ticket isnt offered on my satellite, so my sundays are usually spent staring at a loading NFL.com gamecenter screen. Most of the games down here are not shown and instead I get to see some infomercial while my team plays! Its kind of weird to see me yelling at a computer screen...

Just as well we could be way out front.

Re: 2008 Redskins Schedule

I cant stand New England...look at this
Patriots have the weakest schedule based on their opponents’ combined 99-157 record in 2007
That makes no sense to me...they were in the damn superbowl.
They gotta change how they do this!

Where do the Skins rank?

13-3 and you base that on how the teams did last year no draft or trades or summer camp and pre-season...no injury reports, correct? To predict in April is nothing short of insane!

Stuck,

I have the same problem since I live out of the DC area. I bought a Slingbox (recommended on this site) and hooked it up to my sister's cable box in No. VA. I now can watch every game of the season by tapping into her local channels. There's even software you can buy to watch it on your cellphone (I haven't tried that yet). Sure it's a little grainy because it's being streamed, but overall I was very pleased with the quality. It's a one-time $100 or so investment for life. Let me know if you want more details - or just google Slingbox.

Beats the crap out of watching it on gamecenter....

Re: 2008 Redskins Schedule

no tampa bay. I can't believe that were not playing the bucs this year. I always enjoyed watching those games, even though we lose to them every time except playoffs. maybe it's good we don't play them

Re: 2008 Redskins Schedule

Im not a fan of having 4 out of the last 6 on the road. On the other hand our last 3 division games are at home so thats a plus.
