I'll give you any transaction via trade of the Redskins second round 51st overall pick to any other team in the NFL. I'll take the Skins keeping and using the pick for themselves. The wager is, the priviledge of writing something that will be displayed in the other person's signature box for a month. Can be demeaning or praising of the person who lost/won, your choice, nothing outwardly obtuse or profane. I'm good for it. Quote back by before the draft starts to let me know if you're in. I'm going up to FedEx for the draft party so I won't be available until later in the evening. Should give us something to look at until minicamp rolls around....let me know.

Re: final prediction for #21
I don't think they're taking a WR, not with Boldin and Johnson's future with their current teams still in doubt. I think the safest bet is Merling but I won't be surprised to see Calais Campbell selected.
Honestly, for me I want the absolute best available playmaker available at any position except RB and QB.

I'll go with Merling...but I also have a feeling that something completely from left field could happen.

Merling. If he's gone before # 21, we trade down and look to take L. Jackson from USC with our first pick

Re: final prediction for #21
Just like with Landry, we are going to take the best available player in the draft, and if Merling is still there, I think we will take him.

Merling or trade back. His sports hernia makes me nervous. I'd love to get Jordy in the 2nd, but I think he's gone by the time we pick. Good luck Vinny, may the Schwartz be with you.

Re: final prediction for #21
I think it's ridiculous that teams are shying away from Merling due to a sports hernia. If he slides to #21 he would be a steal.

A trade with the Bears might be possible. They are rumored to be really trying hard to get another pick late in the first round

Re: final prediction for #21
I would like to see Albert or Otah fall back to the 21st spot, I just don't think that is very likely. I would be pleased with Merling at 21, I think that would be a good bargain pickup and a need we have at DE.
I'm just not so certain that we will be picking at 21, I think a possible last minute trade or a possible move down would be even better. |

If one of the top OL fell to #21 they should be all over him.
