I'm not down on Mix, I think he may develop into a solid red-zone threat or a possession guy in a year or two.

But it is definitely irritating to read the posts from waaaay too many folks on here playing too much Madden and falling in love with him as our starting #2. It's OK to admit it, you know you're a big Mix fan (LOL)

We have Maurice Mann too!!

Here's who I think I want (after much deliberation). I don't know how to get them. Just get it done Dirtbag!!

Phillip Merling, Earl Bennett (still really like Hubbard though), Roy Schuening, Zack Bowman, Tony Hills, Marcus Harrison, Craig Steltz, Adriana Lima

I know his combine was weak, but check him out on youtube he's a player, he has game speed and strength, as well as instinct, many players have phenomenal combines and fail miserably in the NFL, I believe he will be the opposite.

How is that even possible!!!!

Your logic has no place here
The problem with that is just because you draft a CB and so on doesn't mean he can play, there is a reason they are not projected in the early part of the draft. We should be looking to replace starters with youth not find backups for them.

You've completely lost me. I have no idea at all what you're trying to say.

He's saying (not very coherently) that earlier picks are the most valuable because they are more likely to produce young starters than later picks, which are more likely to produce backups or players who don't make the team.

Basically, that if you are going to trade picks, it makes sense to trade the later ones and use the earlier ones.

It's overly simplistic, but generally I agree.

I see. Where's the delineation between early and late? We have at this moment a 2nd and two 3rds. Is that not worth anything?

It's relative, I guess. For us, since we have a huge gap between the 96th pick and the 5th rounder, I guess it would be there.

The 2nd and 3rds are going to be important, but without the first to land the premier talent we are looking for, the overall product would be pretty lackluster.

This team's only weakness is a lack of youth, and giving up the best shot at bringing in quality youth isn't going to fill that hole.

Ok. I mean I guess my whole thing is getting CJ is not my preference but I don't think it handcuffs us in terms of accomplishing several goals

Re: (updated title): Make Your Day One Redskins Draft Selections (Rounds 1-2)

Per ESPN: Aparently the Rams are going to select Chris Long which means the Falcons will take Glen Dorsey.

Update: The Falcons are apparently settled on taking Matt Ryan. So Dorsey will fall to #4.

Huh? Did I have them going to the Redskins during Mock Draft 1,458? Funny thing is I use to live in Chicago, so maybe it was divine intervention or something.

New guys take notes, this is why the mod's here are strict when it comes to creating new threads, because when you let people start threads on anything and everything you get this.
