Looks like Kerry called a timeout in Iowa just before Bush's kick. Kery wants to talk things over with James Earl Jones...and wait a minute, yes, it looks like Ray Liotta is stepping through the cornfield and he's putting his helmet on.

in other news, the GOP has improved on last year's record by 2 after its victory tonight, and looking at the schedule ahead, could very well pick up 2 more by the time this season is over...

some say expansion has really watered down the league. what do you think? And how about those rumors of a new rogue leauge being formed, the XOP?

the call stands, and the score is 269-221, bush on top... kerry has already filed a grievance with the league, and has said he'll ask for a special exception if the results would change the outcome...

expansion definately has spread the talent pool thinner then it used to be, and i think that's what we're seeing... it just takes longer to get any sort of momentum going with so little new blood each year, so they're being forced more into adopting their system to the players than finding the right pieces to plug in...

as far as the XOP, i just don't see how you can look at the thin talent pool in the GOP and DEM conferences and possibly think that there's enough left over to compete... second rate players on 3rd rate teams just doesn't sound like something anybody's really going to want to watch. Even if they do find some stars, with the table scrap salaries they're offering, don't you think the big money is going to just swoop in and take them? I think what we're going to see here is a lot of wasted money in a one and done... they might uncover a few gems, but i don't see much more than that.

It's quite alright, they way things have been going today, its par for the course... the prompter was having technical difficulties and the computers have been slow all day... hopefully they won't cause any more problems from here on out though...

Welcome back, we hope you enjoyed the break. Unfortunately this officials are still in a deadlock and the fans are starting to leave the game... its sad to see such a historic game marred by troublesome officiating, but I guess that's what we've come to expect.

And what's this?? Apparently some fans are coming back with TENTS?? looks like they're getting prepared for the long haul...

I tell you smoot, there's gotta be a harder way to do this, and maybe that's what the refs are trying to figure out... I can't possibly see how they can screw this game up any more, but its not over and i'm sure they've got something left up their sleeves for us tonight... Its hard enough beating the other team, but having to beat the officiating crew as well?
