Re: 2008 Training camp schedule released
I guess I don't mind too much that this year's training camp is sponsered by Re/Max but I was kind of let down when I had to read:
"Here is the complete schedule, with specific times for practices, for Redskins Training Camp Presented by RE/MAX:" Do you ever think that this is just the start of complete whorage of all things popular with Redskin fans...maybe in the future when we score a touchdown the fight song presented by Cinnabon will come on only with a sponsered twist: "Smell or sniff and taste, you'll want a lot more Grab 'em, Eat 'em all down, don't let your hunger soar Drive on, Drive on, to the nearest Cinnabon All fans of Washington" At what point do you think it becomes a commerical intrusion instead of a sponser?...I know for me personally, I will kill if the fight song is changed to accomdate any company that can be found in the food court of a mall.

Re: 2008 Training camp schedule released
I can't say that naming rights to stadiums or things like this have ever bothered me. The back of my little league jersey said "Bob & Joe's Towing", so I've been exposed to it from an early age! No biggie.
But if they start monkeying with the lyrics to the greatest song on earth, then yeah, I got problems. Luckily that's ludicrous.

Re: 2008 Training camp schedule released
chill, its no big deal. thats the real world for ya. the past couple of years it was sponsored by home depot. Whats worse is the F'N times of practice! ALL at 830 am, except for fan day. Thats total bullshit. Seriously what were they thinking? I think its a lil more fan friendly to have atleast a couple of pm practices, esp. for those of us 3 hours south of ashburn.

Man, i hate the 8:30 start times. Last year I got off work an hour or so early to go. I'll go on the weekends i guess.

"Smell or sniff and taste, you'll want a lot more
Grab 'em, Eat 'em all down, don't let your hunger soar Drive on, Drive on, to the nearest Cinnabon All fans of Washington" What makes this funny to me is I could almost see it happening.

I guess Zorn is a morning guy. Probably a good call to avoid those sweltering hot afternoon practices.

Re: 2008 Training camp schedule released
I can't make any of the weekday ones because I am working in Charlottesville, but maybe I can make the Sunday ones. I think early practices are great ideas, like Matty said they are trying to beat the heat.
