Re: Mark Moseley in Roanoke

I was at BassPro Shop last year the day we where set to play the Seahawks in the playoffs. All these people where walking around in Redskin stuff and I thought it was becasue the game was on latter that day. When I was checking out I saw a flier that he would be appearing there and the date was that day. It all then made sense why all the skins fans so I took my only skins thing I had on and went back to meet him and he signed my hat. There was no charge for his sig. that day.

That is because BassPro was paying Mark. At these autograph events, it is usually a show promoter paying the player. There are definate advantages and disadvantages to both.

Re: Mark Moseley in Roanoke

I got to see Mark this past weekend at Liberty U. for Art and Darrell's 281 tour. He was at an autograph tent with Brian Mitchell, Gary Clark, Dexter Manley and Joe Jacoby. All of them sitting side by side cracking jokes and swapping stories. Mark started telling some of his stories to a particular kid when he heard that the kid was a kicker. He seemed like a pretty cool guy who enjoyed being around the fans.

I got Moseley's autograph way, way back in the day. Last year of Pardee I think, at an autograph signing at Woolworth and Lothrop's

Moseley was instrumental in introducing me to Tony McGee and setting up our partnership with him

How did you know Moseley and how did it come about that Tony McGee came up?

I was/still am friends with Charles Mann. We here at the Warpath talked a couple of years ago about doing a charity flag football game with the proceeds going to our site and to Charles Mann's Good Samaritan foundation. In exchange, Charles and I talked about him doing some "inside analysis" for the site.

As the weeks passed, it became apparent that Charles couldn't make the commitment but he had told Mark Moseley about the game (which obviously never happened) as he was, at the time, the head of the Redskins Alumni Association and connect us to some former players. Moseley then told Tony McGee who already had a tv show and was looking to add a bit of a web presence. Tony called me and here we are.

See, it would make a much better story if you said you were drinking in a bar and.........

Re: Mark Moseley in Roanoke

Me and Mark are pretty good friends. We met at a signing and though we have not talked sense then I'm sure he remembers me and tells stories to his friends about how we met and hungout for minute.

Oh, I almost forgot. Me and Joe Theisman became real good friends when I was watching him on TV. He's a really cool guy and maybe one day we might hook up and swap stories about back in his announcer days.

When Mark was here in Fredericksburg last November he was telling everyone he met about you.... Something about the guy with the BO so bad he eyebrows got curly?
