That's pretty much how Snyder operates now. He said a few months back that one of his biggest mistakes was hiring Spurrier after about a 15 minute conversation and he never wants to make that mistake again. All he asked Spurrier about, supposedly, was football. But then Spurrier came on and his wife was unhappy here and wanted to go home, Spurrier didn't like working extra hours, etc. so now Snyder and co. asks lots and lots of questions beyond just football.

That said, much of this stuff he should have already known about Williams. It's not like he just walked in off the street.
