Heyer will Start against Giants

My guess is that it's a combination of the injury and Jansen's piss-poor play this pre-season. I am very curious to see how Jansen responds--my hope it that it will light a fire under him and he'll step back in. He's got a lot of pride as a player. Now he needs to step up and show why he should start.

Funny how Wise at the Post thought this was disrespectful to Jansen. Does he really think Jansen won the job this season? And it puts the lie to Wise's comments about a lack of open competition in camp. The FO can't win here, I suppose: either they've gone too much with draft picks or they aren't respecting vets. I have an idea: let's just let the Post pick and coach the team. That would solve all our problems, no doubt!
