It's Always Sunny in [America's Toilet]

Has anybody else watched the show Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia? Besides the fact that it takes place in a real crap hole of a city (which is actually a great location for this particular show) I have to say I find it to be one of the funniest shows to come on in a long time.

It's sort of like a new version of Married, With Children in that it is so far from PC. The deviant characters are instant classics because they just do not give a flying f**k. I've seen four episodes so far and in them there have been stories about steriods, underage drinking, sleeping with your friend's mom as revenge, and how purposely getting yourself addicted to crack can make all of your dreams come true.

Anyways, if you like really immature, anti-PC, foul-mouthed, low brow humor that is suprisingly well written watch this show on FX.

(and now I just have to sit back and wait for my check from FX to come in the mail)

"Philadelphia" is definitely one of my favorite shows right now. I got into it three or four episodes into the first season and I haven't stopped... this season is even better. Charlie and Mac are hilarious!

F/X tends to have cutting edge stuff, regardless of genre. Nip/Tuck and Shield are always strong... I'm even starting to like "Rescue Me" after not really feelin' it for two seasons.

For some reason I think that Charlie is the best TV sidekick since George Costanza. Like when they convinced him to become a street fighter because he could take a beating, classic. "Ok, but I guess I should be drunk!"

The show is funny, but you're not my favorite person right now for crapping on my hometown!

Sorry about that, I've been to Philly once and it really shaped the way I feel about it.

My families car (an old crappy Bronco, OJ-style) got rear-ended on I-95. We were one of literally 25 cars involved. Anyways, we're in the middle lane and cars were still flying by, so it was going to be tough to get out, until we hear "You're car's on fire!" from a passing car. So now we're scared shitless so we hop out and play human-Frogger until we get to the side of the road. I don't think the car was ever actually on fire.
Eventually the police/ambulances come and my sisters ge taken to some really crappy ER because their necks hurt, but that ended up being no biggie. Also, my dad and I go with the tow-truck to the airport to rent a car and then to some shop. Eventually they tell us that the car is totalled and that they're willing to give us some small amount of money for it. We really never thought that the car should have been considered totaled, but in that situation the mechanics sort have you by the balls.
A few days later my aunt, who lives up near Philly, stopped by the car to grab some stuff out of it that we forgot to get and she said it was already completely stripped for parts. The shop was a huge scam.

Anyways, I've never really been a fan of Philly since then.
But the show is great and you can rag on the city I was born in whenever you want, D.C.

You gotta realize another reason that adds to our hatred of Philly, is the Eagles and their fans.

That's probably the main reason

Yeah I was just messin around. I don't really care if you crap on Philadelphia. Parts of it are nasty and gross, and parts of it are really nice. Just like any other city. But either way I don't mind if someone rags on any city, whether I live there or not.

It is indeed the Eagles fans that give Philly the reputation.

Anyone catch the season openers and last weeks episodes of Sunny? This show has slowly become my most favorite show. I love it.
