Frosty in danger in GB?
JS Online: Notes: Poor punts put Frost on hot seat
Durant had a pretty good week after three bad ones. Frost had back-to-back bad weeks. His confidence has to be pretty low after being dumped by the Redskins. |

I saw the game up here in Packer country and Frost was God awful yesterday. He managed to somehow kick line drive punts for horrible yardage. Meanwhile, Brooks looks like he may have turned a corner.

Frost is what he is. A middle of the road punter who has his fair share of ups and downs.

I don't think anyone should be surprised. Derrick Frost is the Taylor Jacobs of punters. I'll take Brooks upside over Frost's predictable mediocrity any day!

Re: Frosty in danger in GB?
where are all his supporters now? like i said before, i guess they just forgot about his large pool of crappy plays while pronouncing him the clear choice for redskins kicker when brooks had some trouble.
he's not the answer, and i'm glad we've moved on. |

Re: Frosty in danger in GB?
Well I have to admit that getting rid of Frost after a decent preseason and going with the rookie had me a bit worried. Well about as much as you worry about the punter anway. But I am thinking at this point that Frost has a problem with handling the pressure of being an NFL punter.
Brooks really hasn't had many punting attempts in the last few weeks. He should be well rested. He also needs to know the importance of his position. When you have a dangerous offense giving them better field position is a big key. Especially one that like ours that is still growing. The ability to get a big punt so our D has a chance to change up field position by 20-25 yards is a very good thing.

Re: Frosty in danger in GB?
Choosing Durant over Frosty was such an obvious choice. I never understood dropping the rookie with the potential to be great over a guy who, while solid in the preseason, has been inconsistent for his whole career. Remember when he took his helmet off in the Colts game? WTF!
But I am not holding my breath for a JLC apology on this one. BTW, JLC has been wrong about an awful lot this year huh? |

Re: Frosty in danger in GB?
Brooks seems to have resolved his issues as the holder on field goal attempts (re the 4 field goals made at Dallas). He'll get better as the Redskins' punter, too. He made it through the Dallas game, and think of the pressure of that game.
