What's wrong with 60 yards? Brunell was lighting opposing secondaries up. 87 yards, 60 yards, 90 yards! And people whine about Brunell. Geeez.

Ramsey will throw more picks but he will also score more points. You just can't win with 13 points a game so we will just have to live with Ramseys mistakes in exchange for the added production.

you're right, 58 yards was amazing compared to 6 yards and a pick...

Consider these two scenarios.
1) Brunell goes 7-20, 75 yds, no ints, no tds. Combine this with a 3-15 3rd down conversion rate (very generous here).
2) Ramsey goes 18-37, 217 yds, 2 ints, 1 td. (most recent stats)

With (1) you basically have one way to pick up yards to put you into scoring position; Portis. Brunell did not have many Ints, but how many 3 and outs did he have? With (2), you have more Ints, but you're moving the stinking ball down the field. I can deal with the Ints by thinking of them as being equivalent to 3 and outs with punts with Brunell at the helm. Yes, usually an int gives the opposing team better field position, but with the #2 defense, that's a risk I'm willing to take.

You can't score if you can't move the ball. Right now, Ramsey seems to be the only QB (not counting TH) that can consistently move the ball.

Whether Ramsey will make a difference will depend on one thing. Will the Offensive line be able to handle the Blitz? Ramsey's downfall is his ability to handle the pressure during the blitz and hold onto the ball when sacked. If the O line can give Ramsey some decent protection then he can have a good game. If they can...well..you all know what will happen.

The other teams defenses know they have to tee off against Ramsey and force him to throw before he is ready. If this happens then Ramsey will make mistakes..but the question is will his strong arm be able to surpass his mistakes.

You decide!!

To: ALL WARPATH MEMBERS WHO WERE OFFENDED BY THE RACE AND BLACK QB ISSUE

I was not surprised by any of the posts or reactions by those of you who did respond to my post to Matty and ThatGuy concerning Parcells, Carter and racism at the QB position.

I am equally not surprised by Matty's decision to lock the thread because he felt it wasn't appropiate or relevant to discuss such an issue with regard to Parcells.
This is the attitude of a lot of people take when they would like to avoid issues about racism that they deem inappropiate when speaking about it an open forum. A lot of shit is said behind closed doors but let's not discuss it out in the open. It make's people uncomfortable.

The NFL changed it's face do to protest and movements that put pressure on them to change. A lot of you were probably complaining, " Gee, do we have to talk about black coaches in the NFL? , using the same line that we are accustomed to hearing, " I don't see color, I just see people," and the most famous one, " Just hire the most qualified and not the color of their skin." Whether you agree with it or not, that mentality is in every aspect of America including the NFL.

Well, I'm not the one who side-steps any issue that is relevant to my experience as a black man in America. The problem with a lot of you is your're too afraid or caught up in your own issues that you don't even want to here about anything that doesn't affect you.

Well everyday this is an issue for people like myself and I will never apologize to any person who is uncomfortable or refuses to hear the legitimate problems that people who look like them have been the root of.

With that said, I have chosen to discontinue my affiliation with this website because it does not reflect my view of what the Redskins fans base is or should be for that matter. I will continue to support the Redskins in the same way I have for over thirty years and will work to provide a forum that represents a well-balanced view of fans and their opinions. Stay tuned.......Sunra

I dont think much will change with PR at the helm. The skins may score a little more and move the ball a bit better but PR will throw more int's so any increase in redskin scoring will be offset by more points scored by the opposition from int's putting them in good scoring position. PR may make the game more exciting to watch but I dont expect the final outcome to be much different.

We can't get worse than 6 yards passing (unless you were to throw in a fumble for a defensive TD)

Just a quick thought about the protection... it will be on Samuels to protect Ramseys blind side not Ray Brown/Parker sure he has taken sacks in the relief games ha has been in (Ramsey) but a week working diferent protection schemes may be a significant shift.. I doubt it but it is just a thought...

SUNRA, matty locked the threads cause you high jacked it and called basically half the nfl racist with no proof, and IN SPITE of the facts (and i've noticed a pattern of ignoring facts in your posts). QC is average at best, he's not vick or culpepper, but because we don't specifically bow down to him JUST because he's black you got all huffy on us... please be reasonable, no one side stepped anything... i asked a question in that thread... there are plenty of dumb white guys, so is it even remotely possible that there could be a dumb black guy too?

I don't think anyone was offended till you started calling everyone a racist.

that said, please keep posts on topic, sorry to matty that i'm even bothering to respond.
