Not surprising, but (in my opinion) Powell is one of those guys who when he speaks you listen. I would have loved to seen him on a presidential ticket. I tend to agree with him when he says it's not so much about McCain but about his fears of the direction of the Republican party.

Bingo. Maybe getting throttled this year will end up being a positive thing for the Repubs in the long term.
