I think in the past what they were good at was running negative campaigns and distracting people from the real issues with crap like gay marriage and fear mongering (what happened to the terror alerts? I miss those, lol). People have finally wised up and given the current economic conditions nobody wants to hear that crap anymore. People are seeing right through it for a change. The wheels have come off the Republican machine, they need to regroup and reinvent themselves for the future.
