Re: NFL Mock Draft Database Updated

And one last one for tonight, Alex Boone (T -- Ohio State) has been projected as a 4th or 5th round pick by many draft sites. He plays left tackle at Ohio State. He shows good movement in pass protection. We may be able to try him at RT if we can't get Phil Loadholt.

YouTube - FSU DE Everette Brown Highlights

Watching the FSU bowl game the other day, I couldn't help but thinking I was looking at a future 'Skin in Everett Brown.
I'm in total agreement!. As I watched that I could just see E.Brown in the Burgundy and Gold wrapping up Romo and putting his helmet in the dirt. I think almost everyone is in agreement about Duke Robinson.

Boone is HUGE. 6'8"- 313lbs. I'm getting that he needs some work on his footwork but can overpower people with his upperbody. Looks like a good 3rd round pick. Oghobaase 6'5.5" 303lbs. There are some good prospects out there.

Trade down the first to pick up a late 1st and a second. Take Everette Brown and Alex Mack with those picks. With the 3rd take Alex Brown(OSU). Trade Betts for a 4th. Yes he is a decent backup but he has the same running style as Portis. We need a homerun hitter type back to be a change of pace to Portis, take maybe Evan Royster(Penn State) with the 4th.

If we were able to get a 4th, and Mark Sanchez (QB -- USC) slid that far, would you take him?

I might think about it, i can't remember a USC quarterback recently that hasn't turned into a bad pro. I couldn't imagine who this site would want more to start, Colt or Sanchez.

Probably not. Only because we know JC is going to be here for sure and I don't THINK they'll let Collins go in case something happens to Campbell. Colt has potential and should not be released. Any of our QBs, including Sanchez if we took him, would not last long on the Practice Squad before someone else picked them up. Therefore it would be a wasted pick. If they were willing to let Collins go, that would make sense, but I can't see us having a 2nd year player and a rookie backing up JC.

Here's a good one...

Todd McShay on ESPN.com has his mock first round up here Top 5 Picks

and here Picks 6 through 32(for ESPN Insiders only)

He has us taking.... Michael Oher, OT, Mississippsi at pick #13

... by the way... he has Mark Sanchez going to the Bears at #18 overall...

I find it hard to believe Oher would still be there at 13......but you never know. If we were fortunate enough to get him I would start him right away and switch Samuels to right tackle.
