Perspective folks...please.

Is it really better to have beaten Philly twice this year while you watch them win a playoff game and while the Skins are trying to figure out what to do next year - - or would it be better for the Skins to be in the playoffs and to have lost all of their NFC East divisional games?

The entire purpose of the regular season is to get into the playoffs. The teams that don't get in look for little "stat gems" to make them look good; the teams that are in the playoffs just nod and point to the playoff brackets and get on with their business.

While it's nice to brag how the Skins "own" the Eagles this year and how nothing can change that, how nice is it to "own up" to the fact that the sorry-assed Rams and Bengals own the Skins this year and nothing can change that either?

Watch the playoffs and root for whomever you want to root for. But don't disparage any of the teams in the playoffs because they are where the Skins would really love to be - - if the Skins had been good enough to get there in 2008. And that's a fact...
