I know what you mean. I love the off topic threads on this site, they get me through many a boring work day. And I completely agree that if the parking lot were back on the main page more people would weigh in, which would mean more posts/ideas/debates/etc.

For example, I'm really geeked up that the new season of Lost is starting in a couple of weeks. I'm looking forward to ramping up the ongoing Lost thread here in the parking lot when it comes on, and I think it will help keep the conversation going if more people know the threads out there.

There are new people on the site that might not know the parking lot is even here if they haven't taken the time to explore the site past the main page. They're missing out!
