Re: Updated: Evaluating the QB Situation (Discuss Campbell, Colt, etc)
Quote:
- JC had a stellar first half of the season, did not turn the ball over and during those first 8 games put up some very good numbers, he was among that top 10 rated QBs in the league. - Actually I do agree with your statement about the team's inability to score, our red zone offense was horrible, and the offense did not put teams away. But I don't thin you can pin that on JC alone. - JC did at times lock into a primary receiver, however there were times that our receivers could not get separation. JC didn't trust the rookies (not entirely his fault), and to be honest, I would have liked to have seen better production from Cooley. Campbell needs to improve in his downfield attack, and hopefully having the rookies at full speed in camp will help develop some trust and confidence in them, allowing him to have more options. The Redskins are a run-first/pass-second team, however JC does need to develop into the type of QB that can win the game for us. Due to our good running game and our above average defense, I think we've asked the QBs to be game managers and not to go and win the game. Honestly, I have yet to see you make anything that resembles a non-negative comment about the team. Not that you are required to make one or something, I just wonder if you have so little faith on the team and its players, why are you a fan?
