Re: Eight is Enough
Yay, let's just keep adding reasons to justify our new CA 10% sales tax!
:vomit: Good gracious... we have the worst public education, public transit (aside from SF's Bart) and terrible public service. But we now claim the Union's highest VAT! Naw, I'm really just pissed at all the voters who passed these stupid, misdirected ballots (the infeasible high speed train, for one) that include mandatory spending... but this 14-kid disaster isn't helping our $41 billion deficit. Accoding to a poll by CNN a few days ago 30% of people felt sorry for her and would help her out. Apparently, there are enough idiots out there to make you a millionaire. |

2008 to 2010 38 billion 2006 to 2008 36 billion 2004 to 2006 32 billion Now I went back 10 years 1998 to 2000 21 billion So in just 10 years the state almost doubled its budget but I fail to see anything the sate has really done to improve itself by doubling its budget in this short time frame. If anything roads are falling apart, schools are under achieving, and I could go on and on about everything else that is actually getting worse despite doubling spending. So I guess the only thing that is happening is that the state is waisting twice as much of our tax dollars as the did ten years ago. Oh and now we are looking at a budget deficet of over 2 billion and they are talking about cut backs in school and other services. I ask what services. I'd bet that each of us could pull up your states budget and find the same thing with the same results. |
