And the reason you can't take a few hundred grand and of your 9M and bring the family here? (Yes. It's inconvenient and disruptive to their young lives - for 9M, they need to get over it. Somehow they will manage.)

Seriously, military families get moved around and separated from their spouses/children and they do it for a whole hell of a lot less. If he really wanted to (and that's the crux of it), he could make it happen.

He must already be richer than God. What was the upfront money on his last deal?

Here's what I don't get- we all knew he would not restructure or take a pay cut because he and his agent felt like he was worth the money, and the Redskins knew the terms of his existing contract when they traded for him. So clearly in this instance money seems to be a big factor for him. Ok, fine.

So then he refuses this whole workout thingy, which ends up being a decision that voids his contract and leaves him looking for work. Plus he just sent a message to the rest of the league that he won't be participating in any offseason workouts. Is any team going to give a 34 year old malcontent coming off an injury plauged season $8.5M in 2009 AND allow him to skip workouts with his new teammates? I'd say the answer is a pretty obvious "no."

So what's the deal? Does he care about the $$ or not?
