I'm not sure of the exact rules, but teams get cap help with rookies (something about a rookie cap separate from the main cap?) so the 1.5M may not apply. Also consider that Trotter and Gardners (admittedly not high) cap numbers vanish with a trade.

If we manage a coup and can sign both, don't expect cap problems to get in the way.
