3-year contract
George Michaels reported that McCants new contract is 3-years and worth between $5 and $6 million with a $2 million signing bonus.

it's good value for what he's going to do in the next three years... D. Mick is gonna move the chains on third downs.

This is really good news. I love Darnarien, and I think he is becoming one of the " Core " players, dispite the fact that hes not on the feild all the time. The guy is pretty clutch, I remeber him catching that 2pt conversion vs the Giants last year and the one vs Philadaphia, those were awsome. I'm glad to have him back on board.

Does anyone know the current cap figure with McCants and Thrashs new deals figured in? And how much would we save with getting rid of Trotter.

The Post website says McCants signed on for an effective $1.5M a year, so a 3 year deal totals at $4.5M. Thrash's re-arrangement amounts to about $1M a year. Talk is this leaves us about $1.5M under the cap beofre we consider trading/releasing anyone else. Anyone know what Trotter and Gardners numbers are if they are traded? That plus 1.5M plus allowances for rookies should hopefully allow us to sign every draft pick, even if we trade up to take Taylor AND Winslow. If we don't trade up tot the first round, but go after one of the top DL, that would leave us even more space.

gardner's is not that high, I'm sure the actual cap figure is below $2m.
Trotter, I think is between $2.5-3.5M, these are off the top of my head though. |

I cant see 1.5 million being enough to sign the 5th and 6th pick in the draft. I dont know exact numbers but I know T. Newman, with last years 5th pick counted for over 4. Palmer was over 6
