Why would you want an aging CB coming in to block Barnes and Tryon's developments?

I certainly wouldn't keep Tryon over a proven CB who would play for cheap. I am excited about Barnes but just because you draft someone shouldn't guarantee a roster spot if a FA would make you better. When you are 8-8 every starting spot should be open.
