If Asante Samuel can just manage to hold onto the ball in the Superbowl then we would be talking about Eli as one of the all time choke artists. He comes back on the next play and throws the luckiest pass in NFL history and now he'll probably go down as a clutch player.

In terms of skills the two players are somewhat similar although Eli has certainly had a more talented team. That being said, Eli has clearly underperformed as the number 1 pick. When you consider what the Giants gave up to get him, as well as the 100 million or so they are likely to spend to keep him this year, JC is clearly the better value, for whatever that's worth.
