Got Joe Gibb's Autograph
So a pretty cool thing happened to me this weekend. For the record I didn't meet Joe Gibbs but I have a friend that was amazing enough to bring me back an autographed Joe Gibbs hat from Daytona.
It started on July 4th when I got a text message from my friend saying "Joe Gibbs....call me." When I called her she asked me who the coach of the Redskins was. Initially I thought that her and her boyfriend were stuck on a sports question in a trivia game and I was their lifeline. Anyway I of course told her Jim Zorn. She then asked if Joe Gibbs was involved with the Redskins because she could have sworn she heard me mention him on numerous occasions. After sorting through who Joe Gibbs was she then dropped the bomb on me and told me that Joe Gibbs was going to be where she was and wanted to know if I would like her to get me his autograph. When I asked her what he was like she told me that he was really nice. I had asked her if possible to get him to sign it to Mark which he did. When getting the autograph Coach Gibbs asked her why I wasn't there to which she told him that I was sick (which was true I did have a slight ear infection that weekend along with a sore throat). It was then Gibbs told her to tell me to get well. Good times indeed. Anyway I met up with her today and that's where she gave me the autographed hat. Needless to say I'm eternally grateful. So I guess the moral of the story is be nice to people, they might bring you back a valuable autograph. My friend meeting Joe Gibbs My autographed hat

Cool man.
Is it me or does Gibbs look about 15 years younger since he stopped coaching?

Good story, even better friend. I wish my friends had my back like that. I would have gotten a text message the next day saying, "dude, you shoulda been there."

Re: Got Joe Gibb's Autograph
I agree he does look better. I wonder if I would look younger if I stopped cheering for the Skins? Hmmmmm....=)

Re: Got Joe Gibb's Autograph
Being a HC in the NFL is major stress. Not surprising he looks so much better these days. I'm sure he's much more well rested.
