Re: Training Camp Updates:

Just because its a 2 min drill doesnt mean it has to be for a FG. Either way we didnt score so its really irrelevant at this point.

Well, not really, if the coaching goal is to move down the field, and they aren't trying to take the deep shot purposely, than I feel a little better. I still would like to see them try, but at least it was not because the players were just messing up.

If you are on the fringe of FG range and throw a pick by 'going for the endzone' that's a recipe for getting a coach fired.

Wait until we see the first 15 plays against the ravens... No video, no comment.

I think it's two separate discussions.

If the coach said the goal of the drive, and the design of the plays is as was stated, then yes I feel a little better about today's TC.

If you are arguing that you should not ever practice a 2minute drill that has to get into the endzone, I disagree. Suppose the score is 32-25 and you have two minutes left then you will need to take those shots. (I happen to be watching the replay of Philly Arizona with 209 left, and Philly needs seven)

Re: Training Camp Updates:

At the same time you at least have to have someone stretch the defense out-clear outs etc-. If all of the routes are short and underneath the defense is in a better position to make a play on the ball with all of the defenders in the same proximity.IMO

I am worried that the defense may seriously hurt some opponents.

I'm only worried if it's during training camp.

They will definitely be seeing something from the Redskins that they haven't seen in awhile. Most teams are used to seeing good pass coverage from the Skins but not much of a rush. Wait until they get a load of our D this year. :headbange
