Hey if you embarrass the shield then you have to pay the price. Though now that I think about it the more likely scenario will probably result in a fine for both players. Especially since both players had a chance to walk away if only for a brief moment.

From watching it I can see that this is what happened. After the play Shockey threw a kind of Kobe like elbow. Ryans didn't appreciate it and got in Shockey's face with the end result being a push. Shockey basically ended up accepting the challenge and as a result we get a scuffle between Ryans and Shockey.
