just lost my Q in the woods 4 wheelin,no ins, loved the push button email and notifications telling me I had email.I went for a refurbished iphonefor 49 bucks, should get it tommorow, hope I like it.Im pretty sure the iphone doesnt have it,but i dont know for sure,I like having the speed dial feature where you just push 1 button and it dials the number,Im thinking with the iphones touchscreen it probably doesnt have that, but i dont know for sure.Luckily the new car i have has voice actived bluetooth so dialing a number while driving wont be a problem.

Not sure if you got the 3Gs, but it has sick voice command. The recognition is awesome. Just hold down the button and say "Call Bob," and in seconds you're on the phone with Bob. Just as easy as any speed dial I've ever used.

The contacts feature on the iPhone are great. Once you have your contacts in, you can add them to your favorites list. Then, push the main button on the phone twice (circle on the bottom of the front) and it opens your favorites list. Push the name you want to call and it dials the number automatically.

For the iPhone 3g you can also download a free app for voice recognition called the Melodis Dialer. It works pretty well.

I don't use my iPhone for work, but I'm pretty sure they have push mail for microsoft exchange accounts. I don't know about other email accounts.

Since I don't really need to know right away when someone emails my personal account, that would be good enough for me.

I guess you can tell that my vote would be for an iPhone.

Re: iPhone, Blackberry or Palm

got my iphone in last nite, atnt had screwed up my internet and it wont be fixed till wed,was kind of pissed my phone wouldnt work till plugged into the internet.Made it to an atnt store this morning and got them to activate it,I said add ins to it,they said no way,no ins on iphones, what a pisser.I guess you can buy some sort of plan thru apple but it only covers manufacturers defect, not lost or dropped or things like that.Dont know what it cost, should i get it?
So far this thing is pretty cool, hadnt had a lot of time to mess with it,got my mail set up,thats about it

Read the iPhone thread. It lists some good apps.
