Forget About Replacing Smoot...

We have a far more important local problem here to worry about.

If Smoot is replaced by Walt Harris, does that mean we'll be reading the deathless prose of someone named "harrissmack'?

Better if it's Wilds, no? "Wildssmack" might actually work...

I think Taylor showed he is worthy of smack behind his name
"Taylorsmack" doesn't sound as smooth "Smootsmack" though.

I have a salary cap question. Joe keeps talking about his 'core players', so I tried to guess what I would pick here. I came up with Arrington, Barrow, Betts, Boschetti, Bowen, Campbell, Coles, Cooley, Daniels, Dockery, Griffin, Haley, Hall, Jacobs, Jansen, Molnaro, Morton, Noble, Portis, Ramsey, Raymer, Springs, Taylor, Thomas, Wilds, Washington, and Wynn. This gets me to $48.8 MM committed in 05. Add a few resigned players at higher salaries like Antonio Pierce, Royal, and Salavaa at a higher salary. Take Joe at his word that he will keep Brunell. Now you are already in the $60-$65 MM dollar range. Assuming that the cap is $85 MM next year, and $7 MM is already dead cap, how in the world can we fill out a roster with a remaining 35 slots for $12 to 17 MM? Or, how in the world could we even be discussing FA? help me out here.

First of all, I'd be surprised to see all the players you listed on the roster. I also don't see Robert Royal or Joe Saleav'aa getting a dramatic raise.

This isn't easy - if it was, Dan Snyder could do it. Somehow or other, we seem to get 53 guys into uniform each year, though.

"deathless prose" eh...

I suppose I should chime in here. Clearly this is something that has kept me awake at night, tossing and turning.

I do have some names under consideration. Should the need arise I will conduct a poll to determine what I should do

Some names I may consider, along with the fine ones mentioned so far,

"Shawnsmack"

"Smack"

"TAFKAS (the artist formerly known as smootsmack)"

"Milhouse (hey we have a Duffman, might as well have a milhouse)"

"Smack My B*tch Up"

Well thanks for those kind words. If I do change I think it means my post go back to zero, which would suck.

I'm reluctant to change to the name of any other player because of the fickle state of the skins roster during this era

And for those who wondered, "Smack My B*tch Up" is an old song by Prodigy. I'm not advocating that anyone go smacking any b*tches.

NY_Skinsfan, a symbol would be sweet!
