Oh man i feel like this is a wet dream lol. If this turned out to be true I'd be so happy. Could you imagine, an actual GM type doing his thing here in DC? A truly structured front office, a GM who finds the coach best suited for a long run, who could build a competent offensive line and then surround it with good skill position players such as an elite quarterback with good wide receivers, not through free agency by giving out huge contracts to guys who don't have many good seasons left, but through good drafting and then filling in a need here or there through free agency? That would be amazing.

I am surprised that Zorn let it go this far. I hope that, at the next step in this process, Zorn regrows his balls and tells Danny to kiss his behind.

Re: Zorn to stop calling plays

DS hires J. Zorn to be the teams OC , right ? Then hires JZ as the head coach , now does not want his choice for OC to call plays ? Dan , hire a REAL GM .

It is what it is. Even if the team ends up with a horrible record this year in the 4-12 range, I still don't think Dan would change his ways. His stubbornness over the years has convinced me it'd take 30 years of futility before the Danny might get a clue about the struggles of this franchise.

Re: Zorn to stop calling plays

I love how Zorn is playing this. Instead of resigning he is forcing Snyder to make the move. Best play call since you have been here, Zorn!

Did anyone notice that the 3 stooges are back on network television? Danny, Vinny and Jimmy can be seen every Sunday at 1:00!

This has been the rumor since the day Zorn was named head coach. We need to see it to believe it

Re: Zorn to stop calling plays

After the season is over.

Step One: Fire Vinny and Zorn
Step Two: Hire GM, see Chris Polian, Eric DeCosta, Rick Spielman, Mike Holmgren....
Step Three: Let new GM hire Head Coach. Preferably Offensive minded and someone with outstanding motivational skills, and who is not afraid of getting after poor performers or prima donnas.
Step Four: GM and Head Coach shall hire Offensive Co-ordinator, that will call plays. Now is the time to decide if the WCO is what should be ran or if more of a Coryell style is what is needed.
Step Five: Remove Cancer from the roster.
Step Six: Rebuild Offensive line with the best free agents under 27 years old and prepare to draft rookie QB for grooming.
Step Seven: Draft for need and be willing to trade down to grab players at their best value.
Step Eight: The most important step, Dan Snyder just sign the checks.

Get Cerrato out of DC!!!!!
Ya know whats funny. I figured that FOX had major issue's getting the game to us every weekend and was pleasantly supprised to see another network taking over this weekend......only to find ...they had technical difficulties.

What the hell is going on with getting any Redskins games to the area? Does it paralell the teams performance? If the team gets better the networks have less problems? but I have to agree, I would be pissed right now if I had purchased it also.

On a side note can we take away the HCing duties also since he has so much on his plate?

I feel bad for the guy, really.. Even though he's not great at play callings, obviously but he's good humble guy.. I truly hope he will grow from this..

Here's real one: Zorn gives up offensive play-calling duties for struggling 'Skins

Just got a text from Washington Post saying Sherm Lewis will take over as the teams playcaller. Wow. Bingo.
