Re: Your next QB for the Skins?
FYI- If texas beats Florida for the BCS championship...The danny will be all over McCoy! He won't let another franchise signal caller get away like what happened with Sanchez!

Sanchez is no franchise signal caller.

He's not going to have those huge gaps to run through either most likely, especially in the NFC East.

Re: Your next QB for the Skins?
I'll preface this by saying I don't watch much college football. I was in a bar on Sat. evening watching Florida so of course I was focusing on Tebow.
A couple of things I noticed, he brings the ball back really low on his windup, I can't imagine the number of times he will get stripped in the NFL with that sort of motion. That's got to be fixed. He's a gifted overall athlete no doubt. On the college level you can see where he is head and shoulders above most college defenders. But in the NFL I just don't see where his skills would make him an elite player, at least at the QB position. Maybe you move him to another position but utilize him in the wildcat once in a while? Also, does he ever line up under center? If not that's going to be adjustment as well. Looks like he would need some serious "coaching up" at the NFL level as far as his mechanics go if he's going to be a full time QB. I don't see how he's NFL ready right off the bat. Just my 2 cents. |

Re: Your next QB for the Skins?
I agree with Buster, and McCoy isn't a "franchise signal caller" either.

Re: Your next QB for the Skins?
Heres the thing with Pike, he's already gotten forearm surgery, he's very mistake prone, and his team seems to be doing as good without him as they were with him, so I'm saying no to him now, but if he performs well come senior bowl, combine, then ya I'd give him a shot. McCoy will not be a good pro QB, and Tebow I don't personally see being good, cause he's slow delivering the ball, and it wobbles/has an ugly throwing motion. Clausen needs to stay a year, because I don't think he's ready.

Re: Your next QB for the Skins?
I would honestly love it the Redskins traded for Vince Young and drafted the top O-lineman in the first. He's a winner. Sure you can throw at me all the stats you want about his inaccuratecy but the guy fights for his team and can win.

Re: Your next QB for the Skins?
Vince Young? Vince Young? I would rather sign Todd Collins to a 7 year 100 mil deal than trade anything for Vince Young. Todd Collins might retire before his contract would be up, but Vince Young might commit suicide after playing here under our scruitiny...and we would be out of a draft pick!
No thanks. |
