Although after seeing the game and the replay of the event, it appears that Mike Smith was way out of line. He should have never been involved to begin with. Wasn't it Roger Goodell who said he would hold "coaches and executives to a higher standard." I am curious to see how serious he was with that statement. Smith should be held accountable to a certain degree.

But the devils advocate in me also thinks that the incident would never have gotten that much out of hand if Hall would have stayed away from the sideline. He really had no business running in there like that.

Yes, you can argue that Hall was "watching out for his team mate", trying to pull him out of there. But at the end of the day, if anything would have happened to Landry after that hit, it would be the leagues repsonsibility, not Halls.

When Hall charged into that sideline, that was the match, Landrys hit was the kerosene.

Keep those 2 apart, there is no fire.
