Maybe the sack of shit has a better offensive line in front of it.

Thats getting way out of line. JC gives it his all every play. Great guy, not a great QB. Time to move on, but don't disgrace the guy.

Re: Campbell Comparables

Lets just leave it alone, he has been here long enough to make an impact and has not done so. Not like this guy was a 3rd round project QB, he was a 1st rounder. Try to find another 1st round QB who has been with a team as long as he has and hasnt made the playoffs. Our Oline isnt great but there are teams in the same boat and they score. I mean hell, TB's rook QB came in and they scored more than we have in a game all yr.

Bill Barnwell at FO provides us this PFR query for Jason Campbell's season, based on the explosion of his sack rate. He compares Campbell's numbers to the 17 closest seasons in the last thirty years.

The link is here:

Barnwell's analysis is here:

FOOTBALL OUTSIDERS: Innovative Statistics, Intelligent Analysis | Jason Campbell's Sack Rate

The most interesting thing is the two closest seasons to the season Campbell is having now, out of every QB season in the last 30 years, were Ben Roethlisberger's worst two seasons. There's little doubt that Roethlisberger is seeing downfield right now a lot better than Campbell is, but I'm not sure that's always been the case.

Question is, exactly how did the Steelers get that offense to where they are right now? And how can the Redskins prevent this situation from finishing out as bad as it started.
Easy, they built a decent O line for Ben. Thing is Ben has the intagibles that JC hasn't been allowed to develop with the BS over the last 6 seasons. Thing is now JC probably is a ruined QB because of it. I like JC and always rooted for him, but he isn't much better than Gus.

Best post on the thread thus far. JC is a good guy, but an average QB at best and isn't the "chosen one".
