One apprehension about attempting to draft with #5 pick Taylor, and then trading down to pick up Ben Watson which will be in my estimation another first round draft pick is the potential cap ramifications both this season and in years to come.

The Canuck would be able to elaborate with his insight on the past years numbers but in my estimation it will cost a 10-12m signing bonus for Taylor and a 1-2m bonus for Watson. Where is the money going to come from this season fellas let alone down the road. We all ready have a credit card mentality to spending and cap budget without the 13-15m dollars in bonus money these players bring us. Mean while in the scenario that we trade for 21, 32 and 56 picks the bonus money would be substantially less (approx 8m cumulatively I am guessing)
