Should Suisham Be Cut?
I thought this deserves a thread of it's own. Should Suisham be cut? TD sure thinks so and I tend to agree. He's cost us 2 games in 3 weeks. It's a harsh business but it's got to be done. It also sends a message that we don't like to lose here. If it's a kicker thats proven he can make the big kick, then maybe i'd feel different. Of course you could argue that other things cost us the game, sure, but should Suisham be cut? Thoughts?
"I'd have to cut him before he cost me my job.'' -- NBC Football Night in America analyst Tony Dungy, on what he'd do if he were the coach on a team with Shaun Suisham on it, and Suisham missed a 23-yard field goal like he missed Sunday. |

Re: Should Suisham Be Cut?
Well, I'm back and forth on this one, especially after the Cowboys and Saints games. He's been pretty consistent, but what separates OK teams from great ones is having all facets of your game being good. Suisham HAS to be able to make the clutch kick.
Someone mentioned in another thread that some older, proven kickers are out there, and I'd love to bring them in for a look this offseason. Cutting him NOW would be a little odd considering how far we are out of the race.

Re: Should Suisham Be Cut?
We've already got a poll going on this topic in the other Suisham thread.
