for anyone reading this that does not remember or was not old enough to see art monk play professional football , i'll say this, art exemplified the word professional. he practiced hard, he played hard and he was a true team player. he never got down on himself or his teammates. you would never see him arguing on the sidelines with any of the coaches or any of his teammates the way you see some of todays so-called " great wideouts ". when he scored a touchdown you would not see him pull out a pen to sign a ball, nor would you see him dance like micheal jackson, what you would see is him simply giving the football to the referee and then going back to the sidelines. two players he could be compared to on the way he handled himself on and of the field are barry sanders, who you may remember and marvin harrison, who is still currently playing. art monk was a huge part of an offense that won three superbowls. he should, without a doubt, be in the nfl hall of fame.
